When you know a chapter of your lives is coming to a close, we tend to savor the little things a bit more than usual. The way the light streams in through the windows as your kids play, the evening stroll to your favorite picnic spot, the rocks you’ve walked up and down countless times hand in hand with your daughters…those little things that compose a moment in time is always worth capturing. 😌

Before Alli and her sweet family head back east, they wanted to capture the world that they have called home for over twelve years. I can’t tell you how heartwarming it was to witness the most simple interactions of them playing with their kids to saying hello and connecting with multiple neighbors on our walk to the lake. They have truly grown some intentional roots here in Chicago and although there is definite anticipation for what lies ahead, I was honored to be a part of capturing their story here and all that they want to memorize and look back on years from now. 🌆✨

So grateful to have crossed paths with these dear people and have the honor of hanging out with them to document their story. Such a fun evening! Also, they get bonus points for knowing my obscure Seinfeld references throughout the shoot. 👏👏👏 Usually I can relate almost anything back to it but I’m typically hanging out to dry with no one knowing what the hell I’m talking about, so thank you guys 😂
