From getting to take their first ever family photos 5 years ago, to bopping around Chicago all night grabbing drinks—these clients turned friends made my year when they asked me to come out to their new home in Michigan to document this change of season in their lives. 🌿

It didn’t take long to see this shift in environment and space has been such a positive impact on them as a family. They were just as fun and warm as ever but it was that sense of settledness and comfort that was so wonderful to witness. Of course with a big move I’m sure they have their hard moments, but that’s what life is all about right? Moving forward, together, through it all, as a family.

With this long form session we truly got to take out time and linger and little longer in each little spot we stumbled upon. With a desire to capture their connection above all, we truly kept it simple with little anchors of activities throughout. No rush, no fuss, just lots of catching up, sipping on espresso and documenting the details. 💫
