The Storied Workshop is about sharing my philosophy and narrative approach to family sessions—it draws out work that is deeply emotive and documents a family’s story in a unique and genuine way.
A narrative approach honors the beautiful differences, interactions and details of every single family.
It takes the focus off of perfection and highlights connection.
It’s honest to whatever season a family find themselves in, and places value on moments that are organic, emotive, wild, still and adventurous. Moments they can look back on years from now and remember what life really was like.

I’m Ro! I'm a lifestyle photographer who specializes in family photography.
I've been in this industry for over eight years but have loved photography since my high school dark room days.
Being a mom of three, I became more and more aware of the unique lens that I saw my own kids through and wished that I could provide the same inspiration for other families. I wanted to start documenting those raw, narrative, artful moments of peoples' stories because that's what would feel most honest to them looking back years down the road.
There was a problem though.
I didn’t know how I was going to get my clients to be on the same page about more candid, artful type sessions. I didn’t want them to do a lot of the traditional things done in family sessions, but felt stuck wondering how to move forward.
I'm here now to talk to you as a friend—someone who wants to bring you into my process for consistently capturing families through your own perspective while also making space for everyone to be themselves, connect honestly and value a more intentional approach to documenting their world.
